Chapter 1

“Absolutely not.”
Astrid Moon folded her arms and glared across the glossy conference table. Sitting opposite her was the most infuriating man in the entire astrology community — Jax Rivera.
The producer of Celestial Love, a new reality dating show, smiled nervously. “Come on, Astrid. The audience loves drama. A fake relationship between the two most famous rival astrologers in the country? It’s gold.”
Jax leaned back in his chair, smirking. “She’s right, Moon. Afraid your charts might be wrong about us?”
Astrid narrowed her eyes. “My charts say you’re a chaotic Gemini with commitment issues and terrible taste in coffee. I stand by that.”
“You read my chart?” Jax raised an eyebrow, amused.
“Someone had to warn the public.”
The producer cleared her throat. “Look, the show needs high ratings. You two pretend to fall in love for eight weeks. Big prize money. And you both get to prove whose astrology is better.”
Astrid and Jax spoke at the same time:
“Fine.”
They glared at each other again.
Later that evening, Astrid sat on her balcony under the stars, flipping through her notes. According to every reliable source, Jax Rivera was her cosmic opposite — fire and air, chaos and structure. A relationship with him would be a disaster.
Her phone buzzed with a text from an unknown number:
Jax: So… when does our “epic love story” start, Star Girl?
Astrid: When hell freezes over, River Boy.
Jax: According to my chart, that’s next Tuesday. Wear something cute.
Astrid groaned and threw her phone onto the chair beside her.
This was going to be a nightmare.
And yet… a tiny, ridiculous part of her wondered what the stars were really planning.
